Bullows was using the in-house developed old foxpro based solution. While it's own enhancement and maintenance challenges, the security of a platform was the biggest concern. Also, since it was not a cloud based application, it didn't a consolidated database. Each store used to run a separate instance of the solution, which would never reconcile with the values in the central instance. This eventually led to mis-match in inventory control and project costing, and didn't offer accurate profitability for the projects. Also, there were delays in deliveries of projects, as production department didn't work in tandem with the procurement and sales department, mainly due to distributed system.
